In this key role, you will be part of the London to West Midlands Delivery Team, and will play a pivotal role in working with local communities and project support consultants to identify local priorities and explore opportunities for developing local community benefits and brokering solutions under the direction of the Area Manager.
Specifically, you will be responsible for ensuring design documentation supports HS2’s Hybrid Bill submission and playing a key role in working with local communities, as well as taking an active role in public consultation forums. Your remit will also include reviewing technical submissions from the Professional Service Consultants and delivering cost-effective design solutions.
If you are based in London, this role will require regular travel to the Staffordshire / Warwickshire area. Conversely, if you are based in the Staffordshire / Warwickshire areas, your role will involve frequent travel to London.
If you are educated to degree level or equivalent in Engineering or a similar discipline and have experience of speaking at public consultations, then we’d like to hear from you. Your ability to communicate and liaise with the public will be key, and you should have a clear understanding of the potential issues that may impact local communities. The ability to explain complex engineering and environmental issues to the public would be a distinct advantage.
