Due to the rapid growth of HS2 and the subsequent expansion of the route engineering team we now require Engineers to develop the option generation, progressive refinement and subsequent feasibility engineering design of new high-speed line, conventional line, station and transport interchanges for phase two of the project.
You will be responsible for key packages of work that will specify the engineering requirements for the development of a sustainable high speed network. More specifically, you will be working with the various professional engineers and engineering consultants in the development of route, station and interchange options for the new high-speed railway from Birmingham to Manchester, Leeds, Heathrow and the WCML and ECML, as well as ensuring processes and designs are consistent with all HS2 requirements.
If you are a chartered engineer or architect, or are working towards chartered status, and have relevant experience of engineering or architectural engineering, then we’d like to hear from you. Your demonstrable record of managing design or engineering services on major projects will be key, as will be your excellent communication and IT skills. Contracts management (NEC3 or similar) would be an advantage.
