The renewal and awarding of maintenance contracts and the increased activity throughout Auckland there is now an urgent need for a Civil Project Manager to join this well established sub-contractor.

Working alongside some of the major contractors in Auckland this company has become recognised for their hard work and continued levels of excellence making them a preferred sub-contractor in their field. Their industry focus is specific to road maintenance and construction, surfacing and minor civil works. A vacancy has now become open for an experienced Project Manager to join the team. Ideally you will have between 8 or more years experience in the industry and have a specific understanding of maintenance and minor civil construction work. Specific experience of Hot Mix (HMAC or HMA) and its applications would be a real winner for any applicant in conjunction with other ideal attributes including;

  • A tertiary degree or equivalent industry related qualification
  • Experience specific to road maintenance including Hot Mix (HMAC or HMA)
  • A successful project track record
  • Excellent man management and client facing skills
  • A degree of computer literacy and report writing
  • A great sense of humour

As project manager you will work as part of a management team in the office and work closely with your site foreman on the ground. At any one time you could be looking after 6 smaller projects or one large project so a variety of experience would be ideal but not essential. You will be involved with health & safety, ongoing training and reporting to both senior management and client as part of your extended duties.

There is an urgent need to fill this role but for the right person the company is prepared to wait for notice period or immigration process to be completed.
