Our client is the largest engineering consultant in New Zealand which allows them to secure involvement across a wide range of project types and scale. They have built a reputation for leading the way with groundbreaking solutions and many of New Zealand's iconic projects carry their mark. Due to significant forward work load an opportunity to join the Wellington team in the capacity of Senior Structural Engineer has arisen.
In order to be considered for this role you will be a qualified Structural Engineer with at least 10 years experience gained within a consulting environment. It is envisaged that you will hold Chartered status.
Aside from your excellent technical skills (preference will be given to those with advanced seismic design experience) and extensive experience in the design of building structures, you will need to display exceptional communication skills, have a proven successful track record of project management and delivery to budget and on time, be client focused, have previous team leadership experience and be willing and able to take an active role in the mentoring and development of more junior members of the team.
This role will see you get heavily involved with the design of new schools, courthouses, police stations, and hospitals on the one hand and assessment and strengthening of existing buildings projects on the other hand.
