Our client is a construction shopfitting & fit out main contractor who have projects across London & the South East of the UK, who work over a number of sectors including restaurant, retail, high spec residential & commercial fit out.
Due to an influx of secured projects they have an opening for a Contracts Manager to join them on a permanent basis to work across London and the South East. Working alongside some of the UK's leading retail and commercial developers, the ideal candidate will have experience working as a Contracts Manager for a construction main contractor on similar projects.
Responsibilities
- Feasibility study - client brief, end user requirement, designer input/drawings
- Elemental cost analysis
- Programming
- Management of standard/bespoke contracts
- Subcontractor procurement
- Chairing of design team and client meetings
- Sub contractor management and invoice payments
- Negotiation of variations with the client under the terms of contract
- Monitor project cost
- Quality control
Requirements for role:
- Construction related qualification
- Strong client facing skills
- Experience working on similar projects in a Contracts Manager role for either a fit out, shopfitting or retail biased main contractor
- Live within acceptable commuting distance of Dartford, Kent
- Ability to coordinate multiple projects at once from an office environment performing site visits
