Junior Environmental Technician - Cambridge
£15,000-£18,000 + Bens
I have an exciting opportunity for a hardworking, ambitious CAD Technician to join the Environmental team of a fast-growing Engineering and Environmental consultancy with a strong presence in East Anglia and throughout the UK.
The ideal Environmental Technician will have a strong educational background (ideally at A level or equivalent) and will have qualifications in relevant subjects (geography, science, maths). You will be IT literate, ideally with some experience of using AutoCAD and relevant software, and will have excellent communication skills. You will have a genuine interest in the Engineering and Environmental area and will be looking for a long term opportunity within a progressive role.
This role does involve travelling to site, therefore a driving licence is essential.
The Environmental Technician will work from the company's busy Cambridge office and will support Engineers and Technicians on a range of Environmental projects. Your day-to-day duties will include:
*Organsising service information for sites
*Collecting soil samples
*Working on rail sites
*Preparing borehole logs
*Monitoring for gas
*General support to engineers
