Commercially focused leadership role
This is an outstanding opportunity for an experienced highway maintenance/infrastructure specialist. Commissioned by Department of Regional Development (DRD) Road Services, DBFO 2 is a key project within NI’s investment strategy which significantly improves the region’s infrastructure. This 30-year £250 million PPP programme is being delivered by our client Amey Lagan Roads (“ALR”) – a JV partnership between two leading highway maintenance companies in the UK and Ireland. ALR is responsible for the operation and maintenance of 125km of strategic road network in NI.
Reporting to and representing the ALR Board, responsibility is for the full operational management of the "DBFO 2" programme. Key focus will be on maintaining and enhancing strong relationships with DRD, JV partners, funders, advisers and supply chain and providing the interface between the stakeholders. Delivering to contracted service obligations within tight budget controls, reporting on KPI’s, reviewing performance and striving for continual improvement, strategic direction and managing and leading an effective consortium will be on your agenda. You will ensure the delivery of all commercial, technical and financial objectives whilst meeting client and stakeholder expectations.
Degree qualified in a related technical field, you will have significant experience of leading large scale infrastructure projects of a similar type. Knowledge of local government, PFI/PPP transactions and partnering will be important, as will be your first class technical and commercial acumen, excellent communication skills and highly credible persona.
