QS/Estimator with drive and personality to work on demolition, excavation, groundworks and RC projects. Working alongside a director you will be expected to have client facing skills and a positive attitude, to enable you to promote the company. Ideally living to west of London and a car driver.
Head office based near Wembley. You will be working on live enquiries that involve many repeat clients as well as promoting the company for new clients. Commercially aware and technically competent you will be looking for a company that will reward your enthusiasm and hard work.
You will be able to deal with clients, technical and professional teams as well as assisting the company’s Contracts Managers to ensure that the work you win is successful on site.
QS/Estimator for RC & Groundworks Contractor. A growing Contractor that was founded 15 years ago to provide high quality services to the construction industry currently has this specific role in north London. The requirement for an Estimator has arisen through them consistently receiving additional enquiries with 2012 projected / imminent starts.
Company Projects generally range from £400k on smaller jobs to £5-8m major contracts involving excavation, piling, drainage and re-instatement work with associated soft and hard landscaping for Schools, Leisure Centres, Medical Centres and Commercial developments, where there are often complicated groundworks, drainage, deep basements and split level floors, some multi-storey RC frames.
Profile. An Estimating or Quantity Surveying qualification would be an asset, however the main requirement is for someone with good practical skills and strong people skills who will promote the company’s ability to carry out the tendered projects. A good track record of working with a recognised main or sub-contractor in the Civils, RC or Groundworks arenas is necessary.

Company profile. A medium sized contractor, the company turns over some £35 to £40m annually with repeat business forming a strategic core to the business, working on educational and commercial schemes.
