Design Manager / Design Co-ordinator
This is a new position for an extremely successful developer on a new project that they are undertaking. Prestigious scheme set on a river location. Initially running the Shell and core packages you will then take on the internals and fitout work. The main project is in Central London with an ongoing project in East London that will necessitate some involvement.
The Role will involve overseeing all Design Aspects and Quality Control matters, dealing with visiting members of the Design team, chairing Design team meetings, liaising with the Project Architect, dealing with and working with the Project Manager, Construction Manager, Finishing Manager, Cladding Manager and Landscape Manager.
Experience in working on modular construction in RC frames for hotels, substantial private residential or housing association schemes, commercial, industrial or leisure developments. Good oral and written communication skills are essential.
Background. Experience of working with BREAM, Secure by Design, Building Regs, HA requirements, tender preparation and take offs are all relevant. You will need to have good oral and written communication skills and be prepared to work construction hours. You may currently be working as an assistant Design Manager or Design Co-ordinator and be seeking additional responsibility/career progression.
The Project. These apartments are part of an overall high spec scheme. The entire complex will be set within landscaped gardens and squares.
Salary. A package that includes a good basic of £60,000. You must be legally entitled to live and work in the UK to be considered for the post.
