Project Manager with Civil Engineering qualifications and 5-7 years practical site experience working for a contractor or substantial subcontractor. Experience in RC both sub and super-structure, “Cut and Carve” and Temporary works are all relevant as this Principal contractor has further schemes including conversion and refurbishment work. Immediate start available.
The Role needs someone who is self motivated, to work unsupervised on programming, planning, method statements and risk assessments. This is a site based role supervising the subcontractors and direct labour.
The Project involves excavation for a double basement within a fairly constricted footprint. Ground floor slab and 8 floors above, predominantly RC work. You will then take the build process through to the point of sale.
Preference will be given to a Civil Engineer who can demonstrate at least 5-7 years working in a similar role for a London based contractor. Experience in all aspects of excavation, temporary works, shoring, underpinning, RC basements, sub- and super-structural RC will be relevant.
Working for the Principal contractor, you have authority in running and organising the site with positive assistance and support from an experienced Contracts Manager. The role will either suit someone who has previously worked on similar schemes as a No 1 or as a No 2 on larger schemes who is ready to take on greater responsibility. You must have drive and determination with good written and oral communication skills.
Salary. A negotiable £50-55k is on offer. The right person for the role will be suitably paid for their skills and experience.
Minimum qualifications are current SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid. You must have reasonable IT skills, the ability to work with clients, suppliers, site staff and sub contractors, so good oral and written communication skills are essential.
Location. You should currently live within 1 hour’s travel of central London in order to be able to access this and future projects.
