Our client is a well known and respected award winning consultancy who is a market leader in providing leading edge technology and innovative design solutions. An exciting opportunity exists for an ambitious and experienced Geotechnical Engineer to join their team in Auckland.
Holding a degree in Civil Engineering and armed with a project portfolio of experience in either the transportation, infrastructure, mining, renewable energy, industrial, commercial or residential sectors (or a mix thereof) gained over a minimum period of 8 years would be highly regarded.
Our client is playing a significant role in the rebuild of Christchurch, therefore providing you with the opportunity to support your Christchurch based colleagues and work on related projects. Your proven ability to understand the ground model in all its complexity and your enthusiasm to seek innovative solutions to geotechnical problems will be key to your success in this particular role.
Furthermore, as well as utilising your specialist technical design abilities you will have the opportunity to mentor and up skill junior members of the team, therefore previous experience in leading a team would be ideal. It is envisaged that you either already hold or are close to obtaining Chartered status.
