Contracts Manager - new build & refurb
I am now seeking an experienced CONTRACTS MANAGER to join my client, a main contractor with offices in Hertfordshire working on a mix of projects across London and the surrounding counties.
This role will be to work mainly on education projects generally valued up to around £5m to include both new build and refurbishment.
My client is a main contractor with two divisions that work on both new build and refurbishment projects to include social housing, education, offices, car parks and more.
You will be an experienced CONTRACTS MANAGER previous experience of working on projects valued to around £5m having worked on both new build and refurbishment.
Experience of working as a Contracts Manager at senior level is essential and it is likely that you will be Degree qualified or similar in a Built Environment subject plus you may also be either MCIOB or MRICS qualified or working towards same.
Ideally you will have around 6 years or more experience in the construction industry with at least several years or more in contracts management.
You will have a good understanding of all aspects of contracts, negotiating terms and conditions, documenting and agreeing changes and amendments, plus you will have a good understanding of construction budgets and timescales, and also have some understanding of claims management.
You must have good organisation skills and have first class written skills along with excellent communication skills being able to deal with clients, consultants, other contractors etc.
Salary to around £60000 to £75000 plus car or allowance, pension etc.
