Development Officer – Residential New Build

The Development Division of this Housing Association require a team leader to work with and manage a small team to cover maternity leave.
This role will see you liaise with developers and contractors to ensure that the associations new build housing is delivered on time, in budget, to the specification required and the quality of workmanship and fixtures are of a suitable level. Following handover you will ensure that all guarantees and warrantees are in place and logged on the appropriate systems.
Your role will be to manage the Development Officer (Delivery) team. To act as client on specified new-build residential construction projects and all property handovers are managed effectively and new scheme information is communicated throughout the organisation.
You will review scheme specifications and drawings and ensure all new homes meet the required standards and ensure all contract related payments are checked, authorised and processed in-line with internal procedures. All new homes are recorded and scheme rents are checked and authorised
The ideal Development Officer will have at least 2 years' experience of residential property delivery and handovers, experience of project management, knowledge of statutory and regulatory obligations relating to property development within the Housing Association sector.
Knowledge of ICT - Microsoft - Word / Excel/ Outlook and car owner essential.
