A leading highways service provider working with local authorities across the United Kingdom providing road network management solutions are looking to expand their team. With a unique blend of engineering capability, and excellent customer care this has made them the best at what they do.

They are looking for an experienced Health & Safety Advisor to join their growing team, someone who is able to work off their own initiative as well as being a team player. This is an excellent opportunity to work within a specialist Health & Safety Team where you will have the support from the HSQE Director and Senior Health & Safety Personnel.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide health, safety, environmental and quality advice in relation to strategies, policy and procedures to all levels of management
  • Prepare reports in accordance with company requirements
  • Develop Comprehensive documentation to support the management system and company objectives
  • Carry out internal inspections and audits to OHSAS 18001/ISO 14001/9001 ISO standards
  • Carry out HSQE legal compliance evaluations
  • Chair attend HSQE meetings as required
  • Carry out competencies assessments of organisations and individuals
  • Assist the Managers in investigating health & safety incidents and near misses
  • Undertake hazard identification and risk assessment as and when required
  • Must be able to work alone as-well as part of a team

Qualifications/Essential

  • NEBOSH Construction as a minimum
  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in Occupational Health & Safety post qualification
  • Audit qualifications & experienced of OHSAS 18001 management systems
  • IEMA/Environmental Awareness/Qualifications
