Your new company is a well-established industry leading social group specialising in housing with an expanding construction arm to their core business. They have expanded rapidly into the commercial sector and now need a Health, Safety & Environmental Business Partner to help the continued growth in this sector. This company is in very exciting times and is looking for someone who want a real opportunity to be a part of a new venture along with their existing team.
Your new role
Reporting directly into the HSE Manager you will expected to be a subject matter expert across all matters relating to health, safety & environmental. You will have responsibility across all parts of the multifaceted business with particular focus on their ever growing construction arm.
You will be expected to promote best practice within sites, maintaining high levels of compliance within legislation, approved codes of practice and guidelines to employment & service provisions.
As part of this role you will be expected to support in the continuation of environmental policy as well as continued development and achievement of ISO & OHSAS systems.
It is essential that you are able to build relationships across all levels and really lead a great safety culture.
Dealing with all aspects on site such as identifying site specific needs, policy and procedures, construction phased plans and other site specific roles, you will have the opportunity to really take ownership and develop the role.
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will hold a minimum of a NEBOSH Certificate and be working towards or completed Tech IOSH status.
You will have a proven background in construction or housing environments in a site based role with a good knowledge of all aspects to new build and maintenance policy.
Knowledge of environmental management and ISO/OHSAS management systems is highly desirable.
You will be an excellent communicator able to develop great relationships across all levels including delivering training and safety campaigns across site.
