Senior Quantity Surveyor - West London - Social Housing Maintenance - £240 - £260 per day

My client is a national organisation with a £2billion turnover providing responsive and planned maintenance to over 100 local authorities for social housing. They are looking for a Quantity Surveyor to be responsible for planned maintenance work over 12,500 properties in West London. There is the opportunity for significant growth of this contract, identified in parts of the clients capital works budget. This contract runs over 10 years with opportunity for expansion to a further 5.

The successful Quantity Surveyor will be responsible for helping to manage a team of Quantity Surveyors/Assistant Quantity Surveyors on one of the client's flagship contracts.

The main scope of works will be involved in helping secure more work from the client and maximising profit on existing schemes. As well as this the role will involve the financial management of planned works and procurement of sub-contractors. Duties will also include reporting back all financial aspects of contracts to managers as well as risk mitigation and reporting back on the status of these risks.

The client is looking for you to have experience in social housing maintenance working with principle contractors on full refurbishment or maintenance contracts. They will be paying £240 - £260 a day or you can come to a similar arrangement on a fixed term contract. The aim of this role is to go permanent with the client after a defined period of time.

Benefits include a pension scheme, private medical cover, discounts on high street brands and cash prizes for top performers. The client also values the development of employees, offering a wide range of training and supporting staff through any training they need to progress in their role.
