A leading consultancy with a history of working on high-profile projects in a number of sectors across the UK. They have impressive expansion plans and are looking for a Principal Civil Engineer - Highways, to join them at an important point in their growth development.
Your new role
The successful candidate will be able to manage Major Infrastructure Schemes from conceptual stages through all phases of pre and post-contract activities. They will have financial, budgetary control and be fully involved in the preparation and inspection of detailed design drawings. They will have technical responsibility for the development and delivery for public and private sector developments, preparing technical reports, specifications and tender documentation. They will also have future management responsibility for Technicians and Graduate Engineers within the team.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience within Infrastructure Engineering and a minimum of HND/HNC in Civil Engineering. Ideally, you will hold a BEng/MEng in Civil Engineering and will hold Chartered status or be able to evidence that you are working towards this. Comprehensive experience of roads and highways design including DMRB, Designing Streets and relevant British and European standards is required as a demonstrable background in adopted drainage design. Competency in the use of Civils 3D, MicroDrainage and AutoCAD is essential as is the ability to effectively run client and project meetings.
