SSA are recruiting on behalf of a specialist contractor in the field of the construction of spiral wine cellars, wine rooms and storage rooms in the UK

Client

Our client is the leading provider of premium wine storage for homes throughout the UK. They install nearly 200 underground Spiral wine cellars each year.

The company have recently developed a new division of the business that designs, manufactures and installs wine walls and wine rooms – typically above ground.

Role

Junior Estimator - Based in South West London

Our client have the following new roles available which presents a huge opportunity for the employee to develop and grow with the organization.

Based with the rest of the Wine Galleries project team, the role will be to estimate and quantify materials and components required for each project.

To identify and search for potential suppliers. Obtain cost estimates from the suppliers and negotiation.

To then compile a Project estimate for the client. Liaison with the Sales Team and Project designer to ensure that their design is best value from a build perspective

Experience of working on high end residential / hospitality joinery projects is essential.

Once supply contracts have been agreed the job would then be handed over to the Project Manager who will undertake the build process thereafter.

You will be assisting on projects ranging in value from £15k to £250k.

This is a role suited to somebody with a methodical and logical attention to detail yet with the ability to be able to work under pressure and react quickly in pressured circumstances. You must be a team player with a confident manner and able to communicate effectively to clients and colleagues. You will be working closely with sales, design and project management colleagues to collectively deliver projects.

You will be ideally Quantity Surveying/Estimating or Construction Project Management degree qualified with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a quantity surveying / estimating role with a commercial fit-out company or a small to medium main contractor.

You will have experience across a wide range of construction materials and techniques.

Salary

£25-35k salary depending on experience
