Project Running Architect required by Manchester office of UK design practice.
Your new company
The Manchester studio of this national design practice is located in the city centre, very close to a major train station and within a short walk of shops and car parks. They are currently working on some large scale residential apartment schemes in Manchester, as well as an office tower, and in addition to a 14 storey new build hotel development. They employ 18 in the Manchester team, and it is a sociable and upbeat place to work, located in a loft style office space.
Your new role
This is a pivotal role in the practice as they grow the team in Manchester. Due to recent project wins, and the ambition to develop Manchester to one of the practice's major locations, they need to appoint a Project Architect who can take the lead on the delivery of a major residential scheme in the UK. You will be responsible for leading a team of technicians and assistants, and communicating project information to others in the design team as well as contractors and clients.
What you'll need to succeed
This role requires a talented Project Architect who has good design, but more importantly, great delivery experience - that has been proven on large scale residential or hotel projects in the UK. You will have worked in a medium or large design practice where you will have had exposure to major projects in city centre sites. You will be a hands on user of Revit and will need to be able to demonstrate effective team management skills.
