Senior Quantity Surveyor
Senior Quantity Surveyor / Estimator job opportunity available with an established and well run Dorset based ground works and civil contractor. As a Senior Quantity Surveyor / Estimator within the business you will be managing tender bids and overseeing a commercial functions on a range of schemes predominately on Residential Projects within a sub-contractor capacity.
Your New Company:
Having established themselves across Dorset for over 30 years this civil sub-contractor have built up a wide portfolio of clients based on the successful delivery of projects and quality work they have produced. They have a steady annual turnover of £17 million with over 75 permanent employees with a very low turn-over of staff. The business provide the Groundworks and Civil works for SME and Regional developers on a range of residential schemes and also have their own plant hire under the business umbrella.
Your New Job Role:
Within the company the current commercial team consists of 4 Q.S / Estimators overseen by three Directors. Because of a continual increase in work, the business has decided that they require a 5th Q.S / Estimator to join their business in a senior capacity and oversee both the estimating functions on tender bids as well as the Q.S functions when tenders have been awarded. The Directors are looking to complete a handover of the business over the next 8 years so the opportunity of future company Directorship is also available.
What you'll need to succeed:
Surveying and Estimating on similar groundworks / civil projects is vital. Ideally you will have experience working on projects from pre-tender to project delivery. To qualify for the role you should have a HNC, HND or BSc in relevant degree (Construction, Civils', Quantity Surveying). You will also be representing the business in your work and managing your own diary as part of this so you must be professional with a pro-active work ethic.
What You'll get in return:
For the Quantity Surveying / Estimating the role this business are willing offer a competitive salary of circa £55,000 dependant on experience. You will also receive a car / allowance, quarterly bonuses and 20 days basic holiday as well as 2 weeks paid holiday over the Christmas period and bank holidays.
