Development Project Manager
The ExtraCare Charitable Trust is looking for an experienced Development Project Manager to join our business to manage specific Village Developments Contracts. Due to our extensive development programme, this is a newly created permanent, full time role working 37.5 hours a week paying circa £52,000 plus £6,456 car allowance.
The ExtraCare Charitable Trust enables older people to enjoy a healthier, happier and more independent future by integrating their homes, care and lifestyle. Founded in 1988, ExtraCare is a registered charity based in Coventry. It operates 3,848 homes within 14 retirement villages and 17 smaller housing schemes. Each village or scheme has 5 to 18 social, health and leisure facilities that are accessible to more than 4,400 residents 3,000 volunteers and local people representing all age groups living in surrounding communities. ExtraCare’s 60 Charity Shops help fund care and well-being services for older people living in its villages and schemes.
The role of Development Project Manager is to project manage specific Village Development Contracts and ensure that they are delivered on time, on budget and to specification. The Development Project Manager will assist the Development Director and Development and Consultancy Services Manager in all aspects of new sites finding, appraisal and procurement.
Highly motivated with a can do attitude, the Development Project Manager will manage the design process from the planning stage, through to project delivery. You will track production against contract and target programmes as well as monitoring the Contractor’s site activities and ensuring the build quality is of the highest standard. You will also manage the handover process from the Development Team to the Commissioning Team, ensuring all assessments are produced and all training delivered. You will also assist in collating information with regard to new Village opportunities.
As our Development Project Manager you will be based at our Head Office in Coventry, but operational throughout the Greater Midlands and the UK based on new Village Developments.
