Chartered Structural Engineer (Building Structures)


Rochdale, Greater Manchester

£40,000- £45,000 (depending upon experience)

Are you an experienced Structural Engineer, having at least 4 years' post graduate consultancy experience working on a variety of design and build projects within the UK? Are you living within a 20 mile radius of Rochdale, or do you have a strong desire to be based within the North West region?

Our client is widely regarded as one of the North West's most known Structural Design consultancies. Having gained an excellent reputation of excellence across all sectors, my client is winning an increasing number of projects and as such are looking to expand their team and appoint an experienced Structural Engineer with at least 4 years' experience.

You can expect to work on a wide range of exciting and challenging projects including (but not limited to!); residential, commercial, retail, heritage, arts, educational & health buildings.

In order to be considered for this Structural Engineer (Mixed Use Buildings) role you will;

* Have gained a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (BEng/ MEng)
* You will preferably be approaching Chartership with ICE or IStructE
* You will have a minimum of 4 years' (or more) post graduate experience within a design office
* You will feel competent designing in steel, concrete, timber and masonry
* You will have a working knowledge of design packages
* You will display a positive, enthusiastic approach to work
* You will work well as part of a multidiscipline team
* You will have excellent communication skills both written and verbal (being able to lead and mentor more junior engineers)
