Do you want to be part of the CITB’s governance, in supporting CITB‘s leading role in training and skills development for the GB construction industry?

CITB is a multi-site organisation across Great Britain (England, Scotland and Wales), with an annual income of approximately £275m, derived from statutory industry levy and commercial activity. CITB is also the largest apprenticeship body in Europe.

The Council has an important role in supporting the Board in its strategic leadership, by providing insight into industry challenges, across nations, regions and sectors and acting as a sounding board for Trustees. 

We have a number of vacancies on the Council for individuals from within the following sectors - Specialist Contractor, Major Contactors, SMEs, Home Builders, Heritage, Youth/learners. Applicants must have recent experience within the sector gained at senior level and have links with relevant industry stakeholders, trade associations/federations. We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate a consultative and collaborative approach to partnership working, within the Council and with the CITB Board.

The appointment is for a period up to three years and is non-remunerated, although travel expenses will be paid. There are three meetings per year, which will be held in London on 30 March, 19 July and 22 November 2017. Members are expected to be in attendance at all Council meetings.
