This is an excellent opportunity for an ASSISTANT PROJECT MANAGER who is keen to join a successful firm of construction consultants to be based in their clients' offices in DERBY to work alongside a Senior Project Manager.

You will have the opportunity of working on a number of complex construction projects with the initial project being the build of a large high value building for a manufacturing plant.

Support will be given to become chartered with the RICS so an RICS accredited Degree or Diploma is preferred.


The client is a firm of construction consultants with four offices in the U.K. They work on project management and cost management across a range of sectors including commercial, residential, healthcare, energy, industrial, education and more.

Our client is expanding and offers good prospects for ambitious people to move up within the firm.


My client is now seeking an Assistant Project Manager to work based from their Derby office with some trips to Birmingham required occasionally.

You will need to have a Degree or Diploma in Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Construction Project Management, Architecture or Civil / Structural Engineering and ideally you will have gained a couple of years or more relevant experience in project management or similar.

You should be keen to work towards becoming chartered as a Project Manager or be already working towards chartered status.

You will need to have excellent organisation and client facing skills along with being highly computer literate.

You should be able to help run projects and you will work closely with an Senior Project Manager and be given support to make the move in to full project management.

A U.K. driving licence and your own vehicle will be required for this role plus a UK passport is essential for this position.

Salary in the range of £28000 to £36000 plus benefits.
