They are known for providing high quality, tailored and conscientious solutions to their clients' briefs, delivering schemes that are led by their design to a high standard. With further expansion planned, they are looking for someone to lead their team as part of the wider group into uncharted territory and further success.
Your new role
Ultimately you will be responsible to the management and leadership of the Architectural team in Manchester; including the support and development of staff where appropriate. Other responsibilities will include business development, planning, budgeting, marketing, client liaison, bid management, job winning and sales reporting.
Design - You will have an input into the conceptual designs, design management and overall design consistency across the group, promoting the design quality, compliance and client satisfaction.
Business Development - Develop a marketing culture throughout the office, enable your staff to bring ideas to networking meetings by encouraging their participation in the wider construction networking circuit. You'll be generating leads, being proactive with your approach to prospective clients, and be able to effectively use your own charisma and personality to develop new business relationships.
HR/Reporting - ensure the appraisal system is being implemented effectively and keep your team motivated. You'll be agreeing training timelines, attending resource meetings and assisting in the recruitment of new staff. You will be the face of the Architecture team across the wider group, representing them in group meetings, sharing initiatives and best practice. There will also be involvement in the bid preparation, attending of BD meetings, advising the Profit Centre Manager and preparing formal executive reports to the Board.
What you'll need to succeed
You must be a Director of a successful Architecture office in the North West, with an established client base or network, with proven networking ability and success.
This position will suit a proven leader, one who is accustomed to high pressure in a pivotal leadership role, and someone who can make a real impact on the industry itself and on the careers of their staff.
Ideally you will have experience incorporating BIM process and software into the office, or at least have exposure of the same, though this isn't essential.

The whole package is circa £65-75k + 10% of salary car + 5% pension + 25 days' holiday and other flexible benefits.
