Project/Contracts Manager - Commercial Construction
Our business is continually growing and because of this growth we have an opening in our Commercial building operation for a Project/Contracts manager, based from our Knebworth Office and will travel to customer sites within London and the south.
You will work closely with the Directors in the initial planning stages through to the completion of projects for our clients.
You will have to plan the project resource including, plant, labour and materials as well as agreeing programming of the works. You will have a full understanding of Commercial construction.
Some of your tasks will be liaising with clients and reporting any variations, organising plant and materials, as well as collating all photographs of each phase of the plan along with costings.
You will have experience of managing a small team and working within budgets and specifications.
You understand that H&S is paramount and fully drive all customers and policies in relation to Health, Safety, Quality and environmental. You will also be responsible for writing and producing method statements and risk assessments.
The ideal candidate will have a positive can-do attitude, with the ability to drive and motivate your site teams.
You must hold the following:
- Full driving licence
- Be eligible to work in the UK
- Hold a current CSCS card
- Have experience of managing small teams
- Construction knowledge, ideally within Groundworks/Demolition/Concreting/Steel Fabrication
- You will ideally hold either SMSTS or SSSTS certificate
- Understand Drawings and detailed specification
- Surveying and costing Knowledge.
