I have been approached by a large, well established business based in Lancashire who due to expansion, are seeking to appoint a Head of Capital Programme to support the delivery of the business and its £180m Capital programme.

Your new role
This role is directly responsible for the planning, management and delivery of the Capital programme to ensure the business are leading the way in design and efficiency; and are delivered on time, on budget and to the standards required by the Department for Education (DfE) and Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA). The Head of Capital Programme will manage a team of contractors and internal staff including technical advisers, surveyors and project managers. They will liaise regularly with a range of key stakeholders, including Trustees, DfE, ESFA, Local Authorities and contractors. In your new role you will oversee all work connected with the delivery of the Capital Programme (value approx. £180M) from inception to completion including: securing the funding, site acquisition, project set up and delivery, design development, planning and consultation, contractor on site management, handover and post-project completion.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role you will have a degree in Building Surveying or equivalent building/construction related qualification. You will also have proven experience of capital programme delivery - leading and managing the delivery of large scale multi-million pound capital programmes. You must have knowledge of construction contracts, current legislation, statutory and regulatory requirements; and have strong interpersonal, communication skills, and able to present technical data confidently to other professionals and non-professionals.
