Architectural Technician invited to join a relaxed and culture orientated architectural practice to run a number of projects, predominantly in the residential and commercial sectors.

Client Details

A considered and conscientious design consultancy offering a full complement of services including master-planning, urban design, architecture and project management. Headquartered in the Midlands they have a national coverage and work with a range of clients, tailoring their service to each client and the demands of the brief.

Their portfolio is not confined specifically to any one sector however that being said, they are best known for projects within the residential sector, with a string of awards to emphasise this.

Principally you will:

  • Produce accurate planning and technical information as required and within agreed timescales;
  • Be conversant with all current building regulations, procedures, construction methods, materials costs and general market conditions in relation to Company products;
  • Prepare and obtain relevant approvals for ancillary and associated drawings;
  • Design and adapt house types, apartments, site layouts and detail drawings for both residential and social housing schemes.
  • Design innovative solutions to counter unique land conditions;
  • Challenge the norm with a view to introduce solutions that improve efficient of drawing or commerciality of product.
  • Communicate effectively with all relevant departments in writing, verbally and in presentation format;
  • Establish and maintain strong and respected working relationships with internal departments, local authorities and companies throughout the region;
  • Co-ordinate and liaise with internal departments and provide accurate and timely information.
  • Profile

    The ideal and successful candidate will have a minimum of 8yrs professional UK experience, with a good understanding of the residential sector. You will will naturally be well versed with UK Building Regulations and have excellent technical knowledge, in particular looking at timber frame and traditional construction methods.
