The University of Salford’s School of the Built Environment is a nationally and internationally recognised centre of excellence. It is home to a multidisciplinary team of academics and researchers working in collaboration with learners across diverse areas of study to deliver real improvements to the built environment sector.

This appointment will strengthen our team of experts in the fields of construction technology and services, environmental science and sustainability. The School is undergoing a period of unprecedented growth in terms of the numbers of taught programmes within its portfolio, as well as of student numbers and the size of its staff base. This post therefore creates an opportunity for you to play a significant role across the School in a construction technology context at a crucial time in our development. It would suit either an existing academic, or an experienced real estate practitioner wishing to develop a new career as a full-time university lecturer.

You will have the chance to develop an academic career in one of the world’s leading schools of the built environment whilst contributing to the further enhancement of the School’s national and international reputation, and making a recognisable impact on the academic, commercial, and professional communities which we serve.

All appointments will be made on merit, and as an equal opportunities employer, we welcome applications from all suitably qualified persons.
In recognition of our commitment to create a diverse team that draws from our widest talent pool we would particularly encourage applications from groups who are currently under-represented at this level, which in this case is our female applicants.

We offer flexible working patterns, enabling our colleagues to accommodate work life balance.
