Project Cost Manager required by Translink on a permanent basis.

Your new company
Hays are recruiting on behalf of Translink for a Project Cost Manager on a permanent basis. Working within the Portfolio Management department, you will develop best practice standards for the cost and value management of projects and ensure effective implementation and performance management across the capital portfolio ensuing optimum return on investment. You will also undertake independent reviews of business cases with regard to cost, value, risk and benefits.

Your new role
Reporting to the Head of Portfolio Management, your duties will include the following:

Represent Translink at relevant government COPE and contribute to development of best practice guidance on cost, value, benefits and risk management;
Develop and maintain processes and set standards for others to adhere to in relation to project management; Ensure effective implementation of best practice cost, value, risk and benefits management including performance management and reporting;
Analyse and report on cost, value, risk and benefits management KPIs across all projects / programmes within the portfolio to establish trends, issues and influence changes required to maintain continuous improvement.

What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this position, you must satisfy the following essential criteria:

Minimum of a Degree in a construction, engineering or other commercial management discipline;
Minimum of 3 years' experience leading cost management within a projects or asset / facility management function;
Experience in cost estimating / planning and control for major construction / engineering projects;
Experience in value management / engineering;
Experience in risk management;
Experience in MS Office including Excel and Word;
Project management experience gained on multiple complex projects.
