Your new company
Your new company is a global consultancy that provide professional and technical support in designing, building, financing and operating infrastructure assets around the world. They are passionate about their staff development and will give you exposure to both the private and public sectors. Your new company have a unique approach with their UK Building Surveying team - they all work together as one specialising in multi-disciplinary design services on refurbishment schemes, condition and asset surveys and asset management, giving you the chance to build relationships and network nationwide.
Your new role
In your new role you will be leading on individual Building Surveying, Project Management and contract administration commissions. Whether you are out on site doing the relevant surveys, liaising with new or existing clients and winning over new business, or supporting staff through their APC training, no two days will be the same in this very diverse role. In your new exciting role, you will also be in control of financial, commercial and risk management from project inception to completion.
What you'll need to succeed
You must be educated to Degree level or equivalent, in a RICS accredited Building Surveying Degree. Alongside your Degree, you will need to have become Chartered and have extensive post-Chartership experience. As the role requires you to undertake such a variety of responsibilities, it is important that you have previous experience of all aspects of surveying from design work to condition surveys, feasibilities and preparation of schedules of work. Previous Line Manager experience is needed as you will be responsible for a number of less senior Building Surveyors. You will share the same passion for the industry as your new company, and will be looking for the next step in Building Surveying leadership.
