Your new organisation
Your new organisation are a public sector Estates Department based in Carmarthen, West Wales.
They currently have a large capital budget to spend on refurbishing and extending their mixed property portfolio within a sparse geographic area. Projects of varying size and complexity.
The in house Estates function doesn't deliver much technical work in terms of Architecture or Engineering therefore this role is a client side Project Manager role overseeing external contractors and consultants.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need previous Project Management/Surveying experience, (ideally client side) within the Construction field.
No specific qualifications necessary, however demonstrable experience in Project Managing capital projects such as refurbishments and extensions from inception to completion is essential.
An understanding of the construction process in terms of planning, surveys, building regulations, tender documents, budget management, H&S, managing consultants and contractors.
Ideally able to start within 1 week of interview. Access to vehicle.
What you'll get in return
You will be paid weekly via Hays, 37 hour working week, flexible start and finish times, £21.00 per hour pre-deductions. Mileage paid at 45p per mile.
