Hays have partnered with a Nationwide contractor that specialise in the Civils, Utilities and Build projects. Most contracts are NEC3 for an extremely impressive portfolio of clients and are winning tenders on a consistent basis. Due to the companies ability to win repeat business they have seen continued success in the market. A position now exists for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
Your new role
You will be working as the Quantity Surveyor, working alongside the commercial department with Estimators, other Quantity Surveyors and underneath the Commercial Manager and Director. You will be working on in depth, NEC contracts that involve substations, water treatment, foundations and other civils/utility based work. Pricing jobs from inception to final accounts, you will also be working very closely with the estimators during tender and bidding stages. A part of this role will involve estimating. Further duties will involve subcontractor procurement and client liaison
What you'll need to succeed
You will need proven experience within Civils and/or Design and Build with a degree in Quantity Surveying or a similar subject. Experience with projects up to £5million is beneficial. You will need to be driven, passionate and hard working. A Full UK Driving license if also required.
