Your new company
Your new company is a public-sector organisation based in Coventry. You will be part of a team that help with the estates team and deal with a variety of jobs across the campus working as a Carpenter.
Your new role
In your new role you will be tasked at providing high quality operation and maintenance service to a full range of buildings. The role will include helping the team carry out repair and rectification on a wide range of equipment across the organisation. This includes halls of residences, student houses, equipment and plant. This role will be to help provide reactive support.
What you'll need to succeed
To be a successful candidate in this role you will to have at least an NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Carpentry. Have a hard-working attitude and be able to work by yourself efficiently and effectively. You should have good communication skills and the ability to liaise with all departments and staff across the maintenance team. You will also have to be prepared to a shift system that changes on a 2-week basis. The shifts are 06:30-15:00 and 10:30-19:00. All applicants must be able to drive as their will be a demand to use company vans to get from site to site.
What you'll get in return
You will get in return an excellent opportunity to turn a temporary position into a permanent one by showing your skills and expertise. There will be 36.5 hours per week earning up to £16 per hour. Company vans are used during working hours and you will be able to leave earlier on a Friday every week.
