A local authority has a unique opportunity to join them as they bring their new build housing workload in house.
They have an exciting and ambitious new build programme during the next 5 years plus.
Your new role
This is a senior contracts management role overseeing all the organisations new build housing and reporting to the assistant director. You will be responsible for up to 14 direct reports inclusive of site managers, supervisors and trades personnel. Your team will include managing a large pool of directly employed labour and specialist sub contractors.
You will also be responsible for carrying out appraisals and monitoring personal development outcomes. In your new role you will oversee the procurement, monitor the build programme and take responsibility for the financial performance of the new build contracts. Predominantly office based, you will carry out regular site visits. You will be required to liaise with internal departments including sales & marketing, housing management and building services.
What you'll need to succeed
- Driving License
- Experience leading new build projects (housing desired but not essential)
- Strong commercial experience
- New build social housing experience advantageous
- Experience of managing a team
- Experience managing budgets
