BRC are working with one of South Wales' leading housing associations who are looking for a Surveyor with a Fire Safety background.

The client is looking for a surveyor to join their Compliance Team within Swansea and Newport (predominately based out of Swansea). They are looking for someone who is immediately available , or someone that is coming to the end of their contract as this is a temporary role for minimum 3 months. The purpose of this role is to support an existing fire safety surveyor to ensure their built assets and estates comply with Statutory Health and Safety Regulations to keep tenants, staff and contractors healthy and safe. For this role they are looking for someone with a background in working within the social housing/construction industry, advising on aspects of Health and Safety and Fire Safety.

You will Complete risk assessments and ensure assessment remedial works are delivered on time and within budget, while also conforming to relevant guidance, maintaining high standards and quality assurance which are in line with current legislation. You will also provide technical fire safety advice to internal and external colleagues/contractors across the organisation.

For this role they are preferably looking for someone proficient in both fire safety, undertaking risk inspections and implementing measures to improve a fire safety culture. You will need to have a NEBOSH National Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management, Institute of Fire Engineers (IFE) or similar. You will also need to have detailed Knowledge and understanding of 2005 Regulatory Reform Order, and working knowledge of good Health and Safety practice in the workplace, particularly related to construction. You will also need to have a full driving licence.
