Born of Kiwi ingenuity nearly 50 years ago this multi-disciplined engineering contractor specialises in major projects throughout the South Pacific. Areas of specialism include power, civil, marine and infrastructure and throughout they continue to attain a high level of professionalism and achievement making them leaders in their field.

As Electrical Start-Up Engineer your focus will be the tests, check-out and operation of all the plant mechanical systems as part of the overall commissioning process. Working alongside the Start-Up Supervisor you will be responsible for implementing the electrical testing program in line with the ongoing construction of the geothermal power plant.

You will be utilising your previous power plant experience to fulfil your other duties including review of engineering documents, perform medical tests on equipment and systems, perform system walk downs and liaise with client staff amongst others.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 8 years experience in major power plant equipment and systems installation as well as the following;

    • A marine/electrical engineering degree or equivalent

    • Excellent understanding of power plants and associated systems

    • An excellent track record of Health & Safety in hazardous conditions

    • A great sense of humour and willingness to get stuck in
