The Capital Programme Director within Estates will take full responsibility for all capital projects across the University, ensuring these key projects are delivered safely, to time, to quality and budgetary expectations. You will work closely with the Estates Director, Operations Director and Chief Finance Officer within the department taking collective responsibility for the department in the delivery of the Estates strategy enabling the University to succeed. Reporting to the Estates Director, you will lead a department of circa 45 people consisting of professional engineers, architects and project and construction managers responsible for major and special projects, utility services and infrastructure.

It is an exciting time for Warwick as it reaches its 51st year as it embarks on a significant ten year capital investment programme, in the order of £1 billion. The University has bold ambitions and a desire to grow and develop to provide world class modern educational and research environments for students to gain a positive foundation and enable them to become global citizens of the future.

Key to this is the need to renew, develop and expand the facilities at Warwick, and the Capital Programme teams will work closely with the University stakeholders to take strategic priorities from conception through to bringing facilities into full safe operation, ensuring finances are spent wisely and effectively.

You will support the evolution of the University masterplan and planning considerations which will require close engagement with external stakeholders such as local communities and councils. The role will be very influential in procuring value added services from professional consultants and key supply chain partners.
