Groundworks & RC Engineer to look after 3 new Residential blocks over next 12 months, phased work. Able to chase RFI’s and set out accurately, QA. Leica equipment. Edgware £200 - 220 per shift, negotiable

RC & Groundworks Engineer for Residential scheme with associated Infrastructure. Initially working on a new phase that will include a basement dig, retaining walls, pile caps, drainage, pipework / box-outs for M&E, with a detailed externals works package.

The Company is a Groundworks and Civil Engineering contractor working principally for major housing developers, constructing roads, sewers, basements, podium slabs, RC frames, hard & soft landscaping and associated infrastructure for new residential developments. Contracts range in value from £750k to £8-10 m. 

Experience & Qualifications. Civil Engineering degree, with a minimum of 4-5 years practical site experience working for an RC frame / groundworks contractor in the UK; you will either have a recognised qualification in the relevant disciplines or be able to demonstrate considerable practical skills, being fully conversant with current RC frame construction methods.

The Role is site based so you must also be capable of reading Construction drawings, comparing the available information with the required information, raising RFI’s and dealing with the main contractor; assisting the Project Manager with programming and Method statements, setting out accurately and at a reasonable speed, providing the Foreman with clear information as to what is to be built and where, completing daily record sheets, reporting to a site based Project Manager.

Profile. CSCS ticketed, ideally with a current SMSTS, you will be capable of taking responsibility in the field, helping to organise the day to day site activities, some degree of record and activity logging will be expected, IT skills are essential. 

Payment based on a shift rate of £200 - 220. Applications only considered from people currently legally permitted to live / work in the UK.
