You will supervise the construction activities that take place on a day to day basis on various sites and ensure the successful completion of the contract under their supervision. The successful candidate will ensure all activities undertaken on site are carried out to the highest practicable safety standard, to the highest possible quality and are delivered on time to programme.
Duties & Responsibilities:

Managing Safety on site including organising inductions and delivering effective Tool Box Talks
Briefings and Point of work assessments to Site Operatives
Supervising the allocation of duties to Site Operatives
Managing subcontractors
Supervising Site Operatives to ensure tasks carried out are within their levels of skill and experience
Produce Risk Assessments and Method Statements for the work being carried out and monitor compliance.
Planning schedule of works
Ensure high standard of quality on the works to meet the specification requirements 'first time' and minimise rework.
Assist engineering team with working method and outputs for production of method statements and programme.
Ensure all records for example inspections, works permits and briefings are up to date and in place.
Identifying and requisitioning Site Equipment/Plant and Materials to ensure Completion of works.
Coordinating with Senior Managers on managing site activities and advice them of any items which may impact/change the Contract Program.
Maintain Daily Records of site activities and liaise with Senior Managers to produce information and Progress Reports.
Assist with the submission of timesheets for work teams.
Interpret and apply engineering drawings.
Ensure PPE is ordered and worn dependant on the situation.
Ensure all Q&A and Health & Safety regulations are adhered to.
Contribute to the Master Files where necessary.

Skills & Qualifications:
Full Driving Licence
CSCS Mandatory
Additional tickets/vocational qualifications would be advantageous to your application.

Experience working on fast tracked retail/petrochemical projects would be an advantage along with possessing the SPA in Petrol Retail.

Required Experience;
You will have worked in a similar capacity for at least 3 years.
Experience managing large work force and sub-contractors
Experience in Civil Engineering and Groundworks.
At least 3 years' experience within the Civil Engineering industry and having worked for contractors.
Comprehensive understanding and experience of a wide range of construction techniques and best practices.
