Finishing Manager. 200 + flats, Limehouse. Oversee & snag fit-out contractors. £180-210 / day, IT literate, good communication skills. SMSTS, CSCS

Finishing Manager. 220 + Residential units near Stepney. To oversee subbies to handover. Ideally with SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid. To oversee fit out to handover. Ideally Carpentry or Clerk of Works background, used to working on high quality developments.

Fit out Finishing Manager for a recognised contractor. Additional positions for a Contractor who has a number of new build projects underway and will be managing the whole fit out process in house. To look after one of the three buildings overseeing the sub-contractors.

The Project.  220 + units in mixed level RC frame development. 

The Company is an established Contractor with a good volume of substantial projects both on the ground and in the pipeline.

The Role. Finishing Manager on Fit out works ~ ideally from carpentry or trades background, where you have continued your training with relevant academic qualifications at a later date.

Requirements of the role:

  • Progress ~ monitoring, reporting and maintaining.
  • Trade contractor management and organisation
  • Thorough understanding of the fit-out procedures
  • Up to date Health & Safety training and awareness
  • Commercial appreciation of the work entailed and end use
  • A sense of professionalism in dealing with architects, clients and the site team
  • The skills to maintain progress and achieve realistic targets

Previous Experience in working on high quality finishes on private residential schemes, high specification hotels, commercial or leisure developments will be relevant. Of major importance is the knowledge and experience gained from working either for a relevant contractor or subcontractor or supervising them if coming from a main contractor background.

The intention is to take on someone who already has the track record in working on projects of this nature and who is able to prove that they are ready to take on the responsibility and challenges would also be considered. Payment @ £180 - 210 per shift on a self-employed basis. Only candidates who are legally entitled to live and work in the UK will be considered for the role. You should live within 1 hours travel of central London for accessibility.
