With luxury dining spaces, champagne bars and much more, this London based luxurious department store is looking for an Interior Design Coordinator to join their food and beverage interiors department. They are seeking a tenacious individual who has experience in project co-ordinating and managing branded interior spaces, to maintain and deliver the unique banqueting experience in this globally renowned department store.

Key day-to-day tasks of the Interior Design Coordinator include:

  • Manage collation and production of strategic design guidelines, compartment design guidelines, project specific design guidelines and creation of temporary guidelines for churn projects ensuring alignment throughout
  • Co-ordinate/produce strategic project plans - walkways, sightlines, fixture zones, signage, lightboxes, liaison and interfaces with other projects eg M&E project
  • A part of the design team that takes ideas from concept through to creation, involved in everything from developing digital drawings to co-ordinating the delivery of project
  • Supporting projects, working with brands and dealing with sensitive information
  • Working closely with Property and Buying teams, as well as with brand representatives and project delivery teams
  • Setting the space standards and always looking to push the boundaries with ideas that deliver commercially
  • Review design proposals from brands, make suggestions/recommendations and present to senior teams
  • Operating as project lead to the other members of the design team
  • Design management rather than concept design
  • Manage and develop CAD and presentation standards
  • Develop space tracking techniques and reporting in line with the needs of the business
  • Oversee and track the standards and progress in the development and maintenance of digital drawing data (working drawings - updated by the cad team and external consultants) for all sites
  • Manage the archive of all drawings ('as builts' - updated by the property team) to provide retrievable database for property portfolio
  • Advise software/system upgrades required
  • Manage receiving, archiving and issue of CAD information in line with property procedures

Key attributes of the Interior Design Coordinator include:

  • AutoCAD essential (Vectorworks a bonus) and highly skilled in packages like Photoshop advantageous
  • Strong track record in Food and Beverage and a proven ability to deliver innovative space solutions
  • Plenty of practical site experience
  • Someone who has excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Exceptionally technical
  • Client facing and optimistic individual
  • Must be confident, engaging, high energy and hard working
  • Independent and are happy to take ownership of projects
  • You will be working closely with design practices, so you need a critical eye, be good at 3D design and drawings
