£65,000 plus 4% pension and prp up to 10%

Our Client based in East London owns over 16,000 properties across London and the South East and create affordable homes for people who struggle to afford a place to live. They provide care and support to thousands of people in the community and help people to get work and stand on their own two feet.

A fantastic opportunity has become available to join the organisation as a Head of Asset Management to provide leadership and direction to the management of the asset stock and to formulate and consult to deliver the Group's Asset Management Strategy. You will also be responsible for the following:

  • Conduct full scale asset reviews and option appraisals of all units, blocks and estates across the stock.
  • Monitor and maintain accurate records of the housing stock, investment programmes and the rolling 5 year stock survey programme.
  • Control fire risk exposure across the Group

Principle Outputs & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for producing annual planned and cyclical maintenance programmes.
  • Assist in maintaining high levels of compliance within One Housing Group and the identification, strategic planning and risk management of compliance issues.
  • Provide expert technical advice to the team and other departments in relation to Asset Management matters
  • Develop and deliver Asset Management option appraisals for approval by stakeholders and Board
  • Responsible for the preparation, delivery and maintenance of a proactive Asset Management strategy
  • Prepare annual budgets and manage the service within that budget and to agreed standards
  • Responsible for management and development of the workload and the team
  • Develop and deliver component parts of the service to ensure achievement of Value for Money
  • Deliver rolling 5 year stock survey programme
  • Management of the stock database and delivery of all key metrics

To be considered for the role you will need the following:

  • Degree or equivalent, plus a professional qualification in a property related field
  • Relevant managerial experience in an Asset Management role
  • Good track record of staff management and development
  • Strong track record of building and maintaining relationships, both internally and externally
  • Ability to plan and prioritise resources in a project and risk management context
  • Experience of strategic change management to achieve continuous improvement
  • Excellent communication skills - oral, written and presentational
  • Advanced Excel and Word Skills
  • Database skills in extracting data
