My client, a local authority, based in South Yorkshire are looking to add to their busy Commercial team.

The purpose of this role is to provide practical support to the Contract Management Team to ensure the development and implementation of systems, procedures and protocols to enable the effective management of Contracts and to provide procurement support in the achievement of project objectives. Duties and responsibilities of the role are detailed below:

- Assisting in the implementation of the Contract Governance preparing documentation, co-ordinating meetings, minute taking and collating and disseminating information.

- Assisting in the review & release of monthly payments, liaising with Service Teams as required, to establish performance levels, deductions and final payments, and establishing details of any areas of concern in performance.

- Reviewing the Contractor's self-monitoring procedures, carrying out checks as appropriate to ensure self-monitoring is in line with procedures, and escalating areas of concern with factual details and proposals.

- Maintaining and updating the Contractual Risk Register, preparing information for formal reporting and review, and for proposed Changes and variations.

- Implementing and updating Contract Analysis Models and Systems, Procedures and Protocols documentation to accommodate Contract Changes and Variations and management improvements
