Senior Contracts Manager / Director for leading Civil Engineering & Utility Contractor


The successful post holder will report to the Managing Director and will be responsible for the overall financial performance of the contract as well as the performance of those within his/her team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

Monitor and manage health, safety and environmental performance

Maintain and develop effective working relationships with client

Develop and deliver budgets

Achieve financial performance targets

Challenge existing ways of working and drive changes for more efficient working

Commercial and contractual negotiation with the client

Manage human resource issues, including staff training.

Successful delivery of client KPI targets and productivity

Ensure high standards of work quality are maintained

Control overtime, expenses and wages payments

Initiate and support supply chain management and integration

Recognition and maintenance of the need to provide excellent customer service

Build and motivate effective teams

Encourage and develop clear communication and liaison between all levels of the business unit

Professional Experience

Experience of managing a high performing team

Experience of successfully managing utilities/civil engineering contracts

Minimum of 2 years relevant experience at senior management level in the industry


Holder of a relevant professional or vocational qualification.

Holds a Full and Valid Driving Licence
