Junior Quantity Surveyor
In House, Client Side Cost Management role. This junior role is responsible for working with the in-house QS team to deliver accurate investment and development costs across a national mixed retail portfolio.
Our client are an international institution with a significant high street retail presence across the UK. They have a large in-house construction function and this senior management role will be an integral part of their UK property strategy. This role has been introduced to help support their significant investment plans over the coming years.
This role will be an integral part of the construction function for this established international brand. You will work as part of an in-house commercial construction team deliver of accurate investment cost management across a varied national programme of development.
Projects will range in size and scale from small installations at c£15k, £300k retail refits and up to significant corporate office refurbishments at over £1m.
You will work closely with internal construction teams on a day to day basis.
Prepare project cost reports.
Total cost management of the project lifecycle from initial tender management from contractors through to final account management at project close.
Experience of Quantity Surveying in Retail, Shop-Fitting or office refurbishment projects would be preferred.
Excellent Excel skills.
Highly Numerate and Analytic.
Ability to adapt to a wide range of projects, and project values
Ability to work on a number of projects simultaneously
Ideally degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or similar construction related qualification, more important is a positive attitude and drive to succeed.
