Role Overview:
GallifordTry Infrastructure - Rail, Aviation & Environment is a growing business unit. The Aviation section of the business is actively involved in a key aviation framework with the Manchester Airport Group operating from Manchester Airport. In order to continue the planned development of the business based at this airport, we have an immediate vacancy for a Senior QS, who will be responsible for all commercial matters on a project/projects.

Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to a Managing QS, the SQS will be responsible for:
  • Ensure accurate records are maintained for their projects
  • Ensure appropriate sub-contractor agreements are in place across their projects
  • Producing accurate monthly internal and external cost value reconciliations across their projects
  • Instigating any dispute resolution, ensuring all claim notices are issued.
  • Ensuring the prompt settlement of Final Accounts

Experience and Qualifications:
Applicants should be suitably qualified with a proven track record of experience in a similar role within the construction industry, gained preferably with a main contractor and NEC3 Contract. The successful candidate will have highly developed interpersonal and communications skills, able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team.

Applicants must also be:

  • Analytical with the ability to quickly assimilate information
  • Able to develop ideas and present them concisely
  • Able to demonstrate a high level of commercial knowledge and understanding
