We are the largest landlord group in the North East, owning and managing almost 34,000 homes in an area spanning North Tyneside to York, with the majority of properties in the Tees Valley. We have plans to build at least 2,000 new homes over the next five years, as well as investing over £100m in improving the homes we manage. By doing this, we will make a major contribution to the regeneration of the Tees Valley to support the local economy.

To achieve this we are recruiting to a range of roles aimed at increasing our visibility, and ensuring the services we deliver are coordinated to ensure the best possible experience for people living in a Thirteen home.

We are a social purpose business that uses our commercial expertise to meet our priorities.

We are seeking individuals who share our values to prepare briefs for architects for the preparation of schemes. You will be required to collate build costs, market research, planning policy and any technical information to produce a clear assessment of a development. You must ensure land purchase exercise information is provided accurately and on time and prepare the necessary approvals to execute documentation. An awareness of our competitor activity as well as identifying new opportunities is extremely beneficial as is an understanding of the commercial aspects of design decision.

The person

The right person for the role will be able to demonstrate the following:
Educated to degree level or equivalent or demonstrable experience.
Full UK driving license or access to a vehicle and able to travel across the region as required.
Previous experience in land acquisition process in house building industry.
Be a skilled negotiator.
Solid knowledge of planning policy and process.
