Dependent upon experience and potential value-add of the successful candidate, we are looking to bring on-board either a Planner or Senior Planner for our offices in Normanton, West Yorkshire. Although primarily office-based, there will be a requirement for the successful candidate to travel around the various projects/sites within the region, as required.

Role Overview:
Responsible for the preparation and updating of programmes at project and bid stages, the regular monitoring and reporting of project progress against programme.
Comply with all policies and procedures contained within the Galliford Try BMS governance systems

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist / prepare 4D planning - Linking 3D models to Programmes inc: Progress
  • Assist in preparation for master programmes
  • Beginning to understand and starting to identify complex
  • Assist the Design Team in the production of Design Programmes
  • Assist the Commercial team in the production of Procurement Programmes
  • Analysis of Labour Resource and Plant
  • Assess and evaluate construction methods and techniques
  • Advise on logistics and methods of working
  • Assist the Senior Planner in the preparation of Bid and Tender Stage programmes through the examination of site constraints, type and size of build, location, Client cost & Programme indicators, design details and any other available information

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Be conversant and experienced in using Asta Power project software (or other appropriate programming software) to produce and monitor bid and construction programme
  • Able to produce / link programmes to 3D models (4D Planning)
  • Obtained an Ordinary ONC/OND qualification
  • Working towards a HNC / Degree in construction
  • CSCS card will be required
  • Full driving licence required
