Partnerships & Regeneration
Partnerships represents a fusion of contracting, housing and mixed-use regeneration expertise. We undertake design and build contracting, mixed tenure and speculative development, estate regeneration and property support services nationwide. We work in collaborative long-term arrangements with Registered Providers, Local Authorities and other stakeholders to build high quality housing and sustainable communities.


Role Overview:

To take full responsibility for overall contracts setting out and site management functions allocated by the Site Manager during site occupancy, and thus maintaining and maximising quality of service and profitability.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engineers will actively lead this initiative and will be responsible for monitoring the quality of the works in conjunction with the Test and Inspection Plan, maintaining as built records.
  • Assist the Site Manager in the initial site set-up, actively installing Company systems and procedures.
  • Rigorously apply effective planning techniques, methods analysis and controls to ensure the most effective and continuous use of resources.
  • Assist the Site Manager and Quantity Surveying Department by compiling data to record resources utilised on each activity. Participate in the implementation of strict financial controls on the payment of subcontractors, suppliers and operatives.Co-ordinate site setting out to satisfy contract programme requirements, delegating or carrying out setting out as necessary. Ensure standard Company procedures are adopted in carrying out setting out operations, and that effective methods of communication are used in transmitting information to operatives and subcontractors.
  • Liaise and co-ordinate with all Head Office Departments to improve all levels of communication so as to benefit and develop overall Company objectives.
  • Actively support the Site Manager in maintaining and enforcing safety standards as required by statute and in accordance with the Company's Safety Policies.
  • Actively participate in generating a wider client base and produce feedback data to the Regional Manager.
  • General levels of conduct and minimum performance standards are described in the Conditions of Service booklets.
  • It is incumbent upon all members of staff to maintain standards of discipline that accord with the Conditions of Service.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • HNC/HND/Ist Degree in Civil Engineering or associated discipline
  • CSCS card
  • Health & Safety Qualification
  • Basic setting out techniques - ability to use level & EDM. Knowledge of GPS preferred.
  • Reads and understands drawings and specification
  • Understands ACP and implementation
  • Understanding of construction tolerances
  • Awareness of Specification and other Contract documents
  • Understands Permit System and actively raises permits to Work
  • Able to undertake weekly safety inspections and highlight issues to be resolved
  • Basic environmental awareness
  • Able to take off and schedule material quantities accurately
  • Knowledge of specification and contract documents
